About

The idea behind the oasis.

A home built for the easy days — and hosted the way we'd want to be hosted.

We built our little oasis for long afternoons by the water and evenings nobody's in a hurry to end.

The home sits in a quiet, family-friendly pocket of Glendora, tucked into the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Inside it's bright and unfussy — two bedrooms, two baths, an open living and dining room, and a kitchen stocked for real cooking. It's a home first and styled second, set up for a group that actually wants to relax.

Out back is where it earns its name. A saltwater pool runs alongside a heated spa, framed by lounge chairs, dinner seating for six and two fire pits, all wrapped in tall privacy fencing. When the sun drops, the pool lights come up on a timer and the night-lit landscaping turns the yard into a warm, quiet room of its own. Separate from the house, a garden studio — the "she-shed" — gives someone a private room steps from the water.

A resort you don't have to leave, in a town most people drive right past.

Why Glendora

Glendora calls itself the Pride of the Foothills, and it's the rare Los Angeles suburb with a walkable old downtown and the mountains rising straight up behind it. The Village and the Marketplace are five minutes away, the trailheads not much farther, and the beaches, theme parks and Pasadena all sit inside an easy day's drive. It makes a natural base for a family trip, a campus visit or a reunion — close to everything, without feeling like the city. We wrote down everything we tell our own guests in the guide to Glendora.

How we host

We keep it simple and personal. Check-in is keyless, so there's no meeting to coordinate; the kitchen and laundry are fully equipped, so you can settle in and cook and pack light; and a high chair and pack-n-play are on hand for the little ones. A few house rules — no pets, no parties, quiet hours after 10pm — keep the neighborhood friendly and the home in great shape for the next guests.

Booking direct means you deal with us, not a middleman — a real reply, straight from the people who look after the place. Tell us your dates and we'll come right back to you.
